The School of Journalism faculty and staff include some of the most talented and committed people working in the field of journalism higher education. Some worked in a variety of positions — photojournalists, writers, editors and news directors — before turning their attention to mentoring college students. Others have honed their teaching skills throughout their own academic careers.

But whatever their backgrounds, they share the dedication to helping students achieve their career goals. Staffers help students navigate the sometimes-tricky waters of choosing those goals and ensuring that the courses they choose are appropriate. They also provide a sounding board for solving day-to-day problems as well as offer direction to students seeking financial aid, scholarships, internships and first jobs.
